  7.     Once again, the People of Liberty
  8. bring you news and views from around
  9. the globe. Fifteen issues! What a
  10. record for a C-64 Diskzine!

  12.     Soon after Fender Tucker joined
  13. Softdisk (the "inventors" of the disk
  14. magazine), Dan Tobias gave him some
  15. good advice: "Get familiar with the
  16. IBM. The C-64 is already history!"
  17.  
  18.     Well, Fender made some history
  19. himself, taking LOADSTAR where no
  20. other disk periodical has gone before
  21. -- in quality, breadth, and longevity.
  22. Along the way, we have welcomed all
  23. newcomers. Some have proved resilient
  24. -- and Scene World is one of the
  25. slickest.

  27.     What surprises me is that the
  28. various Demo Scene disk mags have not
  29. carried software. The disk format is
  30. excellent for text, but [perfect] for
  31. programs. But this is just my own
  32. parochial perspective. What Scene
  33. World does is really quite fantastic
  34. -- gathering news and information from
  35. all over and presenting it in a nice,
  36. classy format.
